For a year, I lived in a dorm in Potsdam and I looked out the same window almost every day. The view was always the same, but it changed with the weather and the seasons. Whenever I noticed these small changes, I took a photo. Over time, these images turned into a record of my life there.
This series of photos is about stillness and change. It’s about how a single view can look different in each new moment, feeling, and color. It also shows how my emotions changed over time. Sometimes I felt cold and gray, and sometimes bright and sunny.
That year was a difficult period in my life, but like the seasons, it changed too. Each photo in this series represent a transition in life. And while nothing stays the same, change is the only constant we can rely on.
